Jandey Shackelford is an interdisciplinary artist. Shackelford was named a Langlois Fellow, a Graduate Access Fellow, and a Medici Scholars Grant recipient. She has been selected for a number of juried exhibitions in museums and galleries in both the United States and internationally. These include the University of Wyoming Art Museum, the Brinton Museum, and The University of South Australia Gallery. Shackelford brings her rural western background into her work. She is exploring the gender binary and contrast of traditional gender roles that speak about the chaotic and violent space that she grew up in. She has received her BFA from the University of Wyoming and her MFA from the University of Arizona. She is currently an emerging artist at Strata Gallery Santa Fe.
